Use the Library
To Improve Your Game

One of the best ways to improve your bridge skills – in play or bidding – is by completing quizzes set and “marked” by experts.   You are asked to bid or play a number of set hands after which you are able to read the expert author’s solution.

To find books incorporating this teaching approach, look for words like “quiz”, “puzzles” or “test your” in the titles.   A folder on the library shelves contains listings, in various orders, of our entire holdings.

Three new books, just added to our library, are believed to incorporate this method:
  • Edwin Kantar, Topics in Declarer Play at Bridge
  • Edwin Kantar, Test Your Play 100 Declarer Play Problems
  • Huggett & Cashmore, The Monster Book of Declarer Play
Some of our existing books using this approach include:
  • Andrew Kambites, Defensive Skills for You - (Ref: 114)
  • Terrence Reese, Bidding and Practical Play - (Ref: 75)
  • Hugh Kelsey & Tim Bourke, Bridge Quiz for Improving Players - (Ref: 47)
  • Andrew Kambites, Signals and Discards for You - (Ref: 36)
Several other authors, including Paul Marston and Mike Laurence, also use this method.

Happy browsing.
